Gateway Church in Asheville is joining a dozen multi-cultural churches of various nationalities including African American, Ukrainian and Spanish to publicly demonstrate their unity in Jesus Christ on Pack Square on Sunday, July 21 from 10am – 2pm. The mayor of Asheville has specifically asked them to pray against racial prejudice in the city and hopes to join them at the event today. The churches want show their willingness to stand and work together to break down the walls of racial prejudice. Gateway Church has been involved in previous gatherings on Pack Square in Asheville, but this is expected to be the largest.
